ANCIENT GAMES ARE RISING FROM THE DEAD!!!

Well, not quite - but the good people at Archive.org have continued in their quest to preserve all things tech for future generations, and last month released games for Windows 3.1

Older readers may renember playing these games for real, younger readers may just want to experience a world of ancient operating systems. A crapy crapy environment before 32 bit let alone 64 bit processors. Still, groundbreaking for the time. ish.

There are litterally hundreds of games uploaded through the site, that can play on any modern Windows or Mac OS X browsers (oh the irony), including Monopoly, Columns, The Oregon trail and of course Minesweeper.

You can find these games and more on Archive.org's Software library
