Not at all doing damage control

Major Nelson has announced that Microsoft are now unveiling their Xbox Store sales and it's their biggest ever.

Note if you're planning to spend some hard earned cash on digital downloads, I suggest taking a quick look at this article on how to play offline

When does it run?

Dec 22 - Jan 7 (2016)

So whats included?

According to there will be deals on all the major releases doing the rounds at the moment (including Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Fallout 4, Black Ops 3 & Assasins Creed Syndicate),

Xbox Live Gold members will get an extra 10% off all games already discounted, and he's promising that some titles (not named) will be up to 60% off. This includes people still on a 360.

Consoles too will be on discount - anyone buying the Xbox one can claim a $50 off coupon (details on that will be announced later).

Movies and TV shows will also be included with discounts hitting major titles such as Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Mad Max: Fury Road, Archer seasons one through five and 'hundreds more'.

(Try reading the rest of this article without Archers voice in your head now).

Major Nelson also suggests that you follow him on Twitter to get exclusive access to give-aways and Twitter only deals (along with his other 850,000 followers).

Whilst the deals may not draw as much attention as Steam sales do, I can only assume how some of the more hardcore XB1 players are right now:
